The main objective is to facilitate access to the Collserola Natural Park by making the route throughout the area functioning as a gateway more visible, and by connecting it to the city’s main green corridors: transversal ones —which link to other park entrances— and vertical ones —running from the sea to the mountains. The strategy is based on minimal intervention, enhancing and repurposing existing elements and turning them into design tools. Within the gate’s area are key landmarks such as the Can Masdeu farmhouse, Sant Llàtzer hospital, agricultural fields, the Karl Marx junction, and the parks of Serra Martí, Nou Barris, and Turó de la Peira.
